Beware – Music Making Can Lead to Undeniable Perks

Whether you're new to recreational music making or have been playing for years, there's one common thread we all share – a passion for making music. Sometimes it seems almost impossible to explain how we feel when we make music, or what it gives us in return. We just know it holds a special place in our lives.

Of course it starts with drawing just that one finger over the keyboard, by your second or third song you're hooked and before you know it you're at the house of someone you didn't know a few months ago, laughing, playing, eating and sharing.

Maybe it's the challenge, or the accomplishment. Maybe it's about finding a renewed sense of purpose, or making new friends. Maybe it's about putting a smile on someone's face when you play a song filled with memories at your local senior center, or when a child comes over while you're playing in the mall and wants to be taught what you're playing. Or the gratitude you receive when your Chapter gets involved in a volunteer effort. Along the way you might find yourself helping raise funds for our wounded veterans, writing to your Senator, or earning a free trip to HOH. All we know is - your passion can lead to undeniable perks.
